Vision Team

Since December, a team of people forming the Vision Team has been working on a new Mission and Vision Statement.

Here is what they have proposed, but it will have to be approved by Church Council.

Mission Statement

Inspired by God's Word, we will build relationships by reaching out and delivering the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Vision Statement

We at Christ United Methodist Church are a caring and faithful gathering of God's people committed to our diverse local and surrounding communities, faithfully teaching God's Word, building meaningful relationships, encouraging open communications, and serving others to spiritually impact the lives of those we meet so that all may come to know God through Jesus Christ.

BULLETIN BOARDS

Have you noticed the bulletin boards in the hallway downstairs? United Support Group had an interesting display on the one side and the youth keep their board full of interesting activities. A display of events from Sept 11th was collected by Dottie Parmer and she hopes they might interest you. Several articles by Ministers are included. Please take time to look at the displays as you walk through.

UM MEN FOOD BANK

The first Sunday of each month is usually UM Men Food Bank Sunday. The food in the food bank helps members of our church and community. At this moment our pantry shelves are nearly empty. For the next several weeks could we make every Sunday a Food Bank Sunday, and contribute cans of vegtables, fruit, spaghetti and tomato sauce, cake mixes, and dry boxed items until we get our shelves stocked full again.
