Acolytes
The Emmanuel Children are enjoying the new positions in the church serving their Savior. We received incredible instruction on the history of acolytes and the purpose of their position in the ministry. We have been honored to carry on this message of taking the light of Jesus into the world. We thank all of you for your support and encouragement as we fulfill this role to the best of our ability. We have learned the importance of commitment and working as a body of Christ. We have also learned how to support each other as we face the anxiety and face fear in order to serve the Lord Jesus Christ.
The adults on the Children's Ministry team have also been learning and practicing this mission as well. On February 18, we had a workshop on collaboration and family ministry. Our end goal was developing a definition of collaboration in which we will choose to adopt as our team's vision statement to keep us focused on following Jesus and serving others in his likeness. It goes like this: Through faith, we welcome conflict to create cooperative participation and communication that builds a trusting and caring community.
